Jenny Hope is a writer, poetry and
creative writing workshop facilitator and editor. She is currently
based in and around the West Midlands area of the UK.
She started writing when she was six after falling in love with
books and all their possibilities. Her debut poetry collection,
Petrolhead, was published in January 2010.
She delivers Creative Writing and Poetry Writing workshops for
schools, festivals, care homes and community events.
Jenny is lead writer for the Worcester
Write On! Young Writers Group. This is a creative writing
platform for young writers aged 8-12 and is a Writing West Midlands
Project.
Jenny is a poetry facilitator for In
the Pink – Dementia Poetry Project.
This is co-ordinated by the Courtyard Theatre, Hereford. Poets take
up a ten week placement and work with residents and patients with
dementia in a care home setting, both in group and one-to-one
sessions.
Jenny co-runs the Word and Sound, with Amanda Bonnick, which is an
ad-hoc spoken word and acoustic music open-mic event in Worcester,
UK.
