Jenny Hope


2013

From January 2013 Jenny will be lead writer for the Write On! Worcester Writing Group. This is one of many creative writing group across the West Midlands region and are aimed at writers 8-12 or 12-16.

The Worcester squad meets monthly at the Hive for two hours a month for ten months a year. The age group is 8-12. The cost is £5 per session.

2012

October Sunday 28th:

Jenny Hope and Stewart Derry will be running a Skillful Scribes Session as part of the NAGC Big Family Weekend in Walsall. 

Get writing! With support and guidance from professional writers and performers Jenny Hope and Stewart Derry you’ll be involved in lots of creative writing games to get your imaginations working and ultimately your thoughts into words on paper. Come along to this fantastic workshop to help you create polished prose.

Session One: 10am-12pm – ages 7-9

Session Two: 1.15pm-3.15pm – ages 10-12

August Friday 3rd:

Jenny will be running a Poetry Workshop: All too often, we see only with our eyes. As part of the series of Dig the Poetry Workshops which run alongside Dig the Poetry @ The Abbey. 

Workshops run from 10am-2pm, Fridays 27th July, 3rd,10th and 17th Aug and Saturdays 4th,and 25th Aug. With a different poet leading each session.  The Archaeological Site Tour is at 2.15pm on dig days.

The Walking Write-shop (family-friendly)

If you go down to the woods today...be sure to take a pad and paper.  The Natural World has always been a major source of inspiration to many poets and writers.  Join local poet Jenny Hope on a Walking Write Shop to view the woods from a poetic perspective. Writers will be encouraged to explore different approaches to their writing, and to view the natural world from a different angle.
Age range 4+ - Adult.  All children must be accompanied by an adult.

June 5th Thursday
(Summer half-term week)

A music and poetry inspired creative writing workshop for ages 5 – 11, helping children find their voice through poetry, song writing, and music in a fun and relaxed environment with Jenny Hope (www.poetrymaker.co.uk) and Deborah Rose (www.deborahrose.co.uk)

2.00-4.00 
Children will have the opportunity to compose their own songs and poetry and set them to music within this session.
